Landscape in Motion
Some HD video for my series, Landscape in Motion. Took me forever to figure out the correct way to process it for HD output, but I'm happy with the results, they should look real nice full-screen.
This is a scene from a little lake north of Lake Mary in Flagstaff. Make sure the volume is up.

Here's what's making all the racket. The western chorus frog. Impressive vocals

Landscape in Motion: South Kaibab Trail
This is part one of a series of video's I'm calling: Landscape in Motion. Kinda cheesy, I know, but the idea is to utilize the HD video capabilities of my digital SLR. I compose the images the same way I would a still photograph, but instead of taking a single image, I record the scene. Once I've built up more videos, I will make a tab with all of them at the top of my homepage. Here are some scenes from Grand Canyons South Kaibab Trail. I'm still new to the video editing and output processing, so it's not in HD yet. Enjoy

Fossil Springs
Made it down to fossil springs for a night this past weekend. The weather was beautiful, the trees and wildflowers were starting to bloom, and the water-as it is year round-was a refreshing 72 degrees. As always, some photos...
The water is crystal clear and blue-green from travertine deposits, which form natural dams, making some great swimming holes
Another night shot
