River Love

Here are some shots of a bridal session I did with my friend Malia on the Green River in Utah. The shoot went great, the wedding was a riot, and I'm very pleased with how all the photos turned out. The last shot is an overall view of the wedding reception at Swaseys Beach, taken at about 10pm. Congrats Malia and Brian!

Landscape Arch

Largest natural arch in the world. Nearly 300 feet across. The pics don't do the size of it justice, but this thing is huge when you stand underneath it (which actually involves a little bit of illegal off-trail scrambling). But hey, no one was around, and i got the shots I was after. Hope yall like 'em! Click to enlarge...

Delicate Arch

Last night was a new moon, and the milky way was out in full force, so I made my way out to Arches National Park and schlepped all my camera gear up to Delicate Arch to see what i could pull off.   I'm very pleased with the results.  I even put a watermark on em...

Goin' with the flow: San Juan River

This summer I am working as a river guide for Holiday Expeditions in Utah.  We run single and multi-day trips on a bunch of sections of different rivers throughout the state.  You can check out their website at: http://www.bikeraft.com/    Here's a few shots from the San Juan River in Southeastern Utah.  Though it's not known for it's whitewater, this section of river contains some amazing petroglyph panels and ruins.

River House at night.  An Anasazi ruin built in the mid 1200's.

Season's End

Done with my job, and done skiing for the season.  It was a wet and wild smashing good time--over 650 inches of snow while i was there, and I got over 100 days of skiing in.   Good stuff, but I'm in need of some vitamin D.  Here's a couple shots from my last few days there.
