3 feet of goodness fell over the holiday weekend. As usual, I was there to capture the action in all it's fluffalicious glory--and got a few scrumptious turns in myself to boot. Snow, sun, foggy flat light, fresh lines, and free refills. Heres a sampling of the goods.

not quite
This is a composition i've had in mind for a while, but the elements just weren't right today--cloudy, with super flat light. Turned it black and white which i think makes it a bit more interesting, though not the dynamic shot i'm looking for.

Blowin' Smoke
It's been a little windy at the office the last few days gearing up for a fresh installment of Wasatch powder, which should be hitting tonight and continuing into next week. The mountain needs it, it's been a bit windblown and crusty as of late.
Here's a shot of the American Fork Twins in a swirl of blowing snow.

The Office
Pfeifferhorn through snowy trees. This peak is a famous and isolated mountaintop in the Lone Peak Wilderness of the Wasatch Mountains. As seen from Hidden Peak.

Powder to the People: February is hurrr
Here's some shots from work today. I was a little jealous that I wasn't tearing up the fresh 16 inches Snowbird got from this storm, but as far work goes, today was stellar. Blue skies, fresh creamy goodness, and--oh yeah--it was cold. -10 degrees at the top...
Hidden Peak and the Tram. Wind chill of -30 up there.
Face shots all morning.
I like the composition here, but i wish I caught the skier in the middle of a big right turn. I'll have to set it up sometime and get it right. diggin' the yellow jumpsuit, though.
